A Chance !to be Wasted

The English soccer team is by far the best squad they have ever had and on top of it, Wayne Rooney's return could be earlier than anticipated as recent scans have shown rapid progress and he could be fit and rocking for the opener agains Paraguay. However if he doesnt then the paucity of a good striker will definitely haunt Sven for the days to come. Keeping an uncapped player Theo Walcot in such a prestigious and swashBuckling championship will definitely bring a grim to the punters who ll see it as a sanguine gift from god.Though i havent seen him play but to receive a call from Sven that too to replace Rooney speaks volumes by itself. If he fails then then its all upto the talismanic Owen, my favorite, too deliver the goods.Having just recovered from a fractured bone his form is neither too good and was almost eking a bare existence from farming in an arid land when he came on field to play for Newcastle United after a hiatus of over two months. Its wasnt a good sight at all seeing Owen Limping in his twenty minute play but he is a player who has taken the batan to the opposition in crunch times before and hopefully wont let the expections of the fans turn squalid.

With a country known to produce esteemed midfileders, midfield domination wont be a problem for England.Gerrad,Lampard,Joe Cole,Bekham all are in prime form.Gerrad after a match winning performance against the westHam, after being 3-1 down, came with an unmatched performance to set the gait for victory.Even Bekham scored a free kick against Sevialla few days back and also came up with another goal minutes later.Defence is also no worry for england as they have experienced campaigners in that department too.

With world cup at the door step and England in group which isnt that difficult sven Could prophecise a long lasting stay in the world cup. However, its him who has too decide the strategy to replace his most lethal front man, Rooney, with either Joe cole coming into the action as a Center forward or Theo walcot which ought to decide whether England will reach the nadir of fortunes coz of the anathemic demonic forces or the zenith of their football history with the exuberance of youth coming in.
